414 Armour Rd 64116-3512,
I was pleasantly surprised. Love that feeling. A very nice space, it is kept extremely clean. A very good sign indeed. In fact, everything is maintained very well.. Seats, paint, etc.Prices are good too, and the staff working were nice.
What's not to love about a locally owned, first run theatre that has a full bar?! Fantastic little gem hidden away from the 'burbs & from downtown too. I appreciate that they show blockbusters AND art house films too. Keep an eye for one off, themed special events, too. They are always fun.
Excellent venue. Good beer selection. Went for the Kevin Smith roadshow version of Jay & Silent Reboot. Had a blast. Beautiful theater, sounded great... and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Love Screenland! Perfect place to go for big show openings (Star Wars, Avengers, etc) as you’ll always have a fantastic and lively crowd. Beers are constantly changing and you get that feeling of what makes movie going memorable!
Incredible and a good variety of movies. Adam cares about Cinema and has a love for horror as well. Thankfully.
We did a ska show here. The venue was absolutely fantastic. They had multiple bars so there was not long lines. There didn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. Would happily go to another show there.
Brings back the memories of the old time movie theaters, loved the couches to watch the first run movies.
Went to see Rocky Horror Picture show had a great time. Comfortable seating, bar and grill, staff were wonderful
This theater is comfortable to come hangout at before and or after your movie. They have a bar, comfortable seating, and arcade style games available if you’re interested. They have candy, food, and offer a reasonably priced popcorn/drink combo that’s perfect for one and easily enough for two. The movie experience is good, I only gave them a four star review because the staff is limited to just a few people in the whole theater and this leads to long lines at times.
Great theater, you could go into the big theater or the cozy little one. The staff was very friendly and fun to talk with.
Warm, cozy movie going experience with great food and drink options!
Great nostalgic place. Small and local feel. Really good place. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because the theatres are just a tad bit too small for my liking. Fit about 50 peope
This is the place to go for movies! Support your local businesses. Great selection of beers and snacks. Friendly and helpful staff. Love that they show independent films that often get overlooked
I love this theater. Perfectly maintained theaters with spotless floors and squeaky clean bathrooms. The 4k screens are beautiful. They show old movies and indie releases. There are always great beers on tap. The pizza is super cheesy. They have pinball. They promote community groups. And they have great staff. It's one of my favorite places in the city and made me fall in love with watching movies in a theater again.
Beautiful theatre with full bar. Perfect for small venue performances or special occasions.
The double feature Sid Haig tribute was fantastic. We had a great time in a sold out theatre of other freaky people. It was an uplifting and appropriate tribute to a fun and terrific actor.
My favorite place to watch movies. It's locally owned so I like the fact that my money goes to the local community. They have good prices on tickets, drinks, and snacks. Check out their Facebook page for events- sometimes they have free showings!
This place is an asset to North Kansas City. They have a beautiful theater with a large amount of stadium seating. This is a good place to see a movie or hold an event or panel. They also do lots of film fests and events like Rocky Horror. They have a large list of beers on tap. I wish they made more cocktails, as it seemed the majority were canned cocktails or straight shots of liquor or maybe rum & coke type drinks. I also wish they served their beers in real glasses, not plastic. It cheapens the experience and is wasteful.
Lovely local theater, great movie selections. Prices are good. Awesome beer selection with a nice little food selection. Staff was friendly. Absolutely loved the ambience of the place!
Definitely a unique place to see a movie. They have great food and a throwback feel that I really enjoy. Definitely support your local movie theaters.
Great place to see a show. Clean. Comfy.
What’s not to love about this place. They support fine and local arts. Places like this need to be treated like the treasures they are. It’s an era of mega conglomerates gobbling up giants it’s a breath of fresh air to have this little guy do more than survive but thrive.Do you love movies? Do you want to make them? Then see it played on a big screen? Sceenland Armor is your ‘Field of Dreams’ in theory.Long story short get up to North KC and make a day of it. Walk around and explore then take a load off and watch whatever’s showing that night. If you wanted to grab a beer they’ve got your back. Just kick back relax and enjoy the show!
The Screenland Armour is the greatest movie theater in the Kansas City area, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The tap list is always excellent (and largely local), the popcorn is the best around, and the programming is eclectic but always interesting. They're keeping independent film alive, from the art house to horror schlock, and they always make it clear that they're glad you're there supporting them. A great moviegoing experience every time.
Locally owned and operated! My favorite place to catch a movie. I very rarely go anywhere else. They don’t show a bunch of commercials before the movies, don’t go overboard on the number of trailers, and they don’t do any gimmicky 3D nonsense. Great selection of rotating beers and they make some very delicious grilled cheese sandwiches and popcorn. They also show some of the bigger movies (think Star Wars and Marvel) on Thursday evenings before the official Friday release. Great way to avoid spoilers and you don’t even have to wait for a midnight showing. Plus, they occasionally collaborate with local breweries to make special movie-themed beers and very cool commemorative beer glasses. They also show all kinds of classic movies, so be sure to keep checking their listings or follow them on social media to see what’s coming up.
A fun time with my son and his wife and my granddaughters first time at the movie theater to see Frozen I I. She loved it.
The venue was interesting, but the staff seemed irritated by our presence. As first time visitors, it was as if we were expected to know "the rules" of where to buy food versus where to buy tickets. The food was mediocre at best and the drink selection was limited by empty options on tap. Several of the waitresses refused to smile or make eye contact when thanking them for their service. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice though. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place.
Love this place! The screens are smaller than what I was used to but the quality was on point! Will definitely be back
One of the best theaters I've ever watched a movie in. Comfortable couches, and large recliners--just like at home. And you can enjoy a beer with the feature. Really a great place to enjoy a movie with a loved one.
So much character. A classic movie theater.
I love this theater. The lobby could truly benefit from some sort of line management though. People truly have no idea how to line up for snacks if not directed.
Love this theater. Great one to chill and watch a movie.
Support local! Great spot to grab a beer and watch a movie!
Great local place! They have retro arcade games and awesome food selections
The couches are comfy, the beers are great and the service is awesome!
Great historic theater. We saw a screening of the new Kevin Smith movie and had a blast.
We watched Its Wonderful Life there. We thoroughly enjoyed the movie and the overall experience.
Love this nostalgic but modern and innovative theater. Unfortunately the heating ducts are in the back by the couches and so unbearable had to move during movie and unable to set together but definitely cooler towards front. I would give it 5 but have to give solid 4 due to heat inconvenience and having to move mid-movie.
Its the best theater in Kansas City. They have real food, quality beer, and the best prices. Not to mention the setting is the best including actually sofas and overstuffed seats. I don't know why you'd pay more for a lesser experience. They also boast a 4k iris theater so dont worry about quality.
Love this family owned theater. It's got comfy seats and a couple newer theater rooms! They have great snacks and sandwiches too! ...also has a bar!
We have never had a bad experience here.
Small time feel theater very cozy and nice
This is a quality theater. Their TV viewing events are off the chain, definitely check out their Oscar viewing party, they have trivia and dope prizes.Their bar is well stocked and they have friendly and helpful staff, on top of all that, they renovated a new theater recently with super comfy chairs.
Gr is at ambience, delightful staff, cozy seats and reasonable prices. I'm going to see all my movies there now.
Love to come here! The last time I tried a sandwich and kettle chips. The gyro was delicious and kettle chips just right.
Love this place! Top notch everything, staff, food and the theater is so old school but up to date at the same time.
Great venue for Rocky Horror or any classic alternative movies/events ðŸ˜
Amazing atmosphere with awesome people! There are amazing events and fun movies to watch all the time, and the community is super interactive with the theater.
Absolutely amazing, locally owned theater in North Kansas City. Full bar, great food and 4 theaters that show first run as well as classic films daily!! If you're in the Kansas City area, definitely come by and have a beer, catch a movie, play some of their vintage pinball games or just hang out. Five. Freaking. Stars.
Big, comfy couches to watch the movie on and great local beer selection!!!
Unique place and atmosphere but it needs better sound systems in the theatre in my opinion. Good sound can make or break any movie.
